Multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077 will most likely be released in 2022

On the 9th of September 2019, CD Projekt Red officially confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer. Though they didn’t mention any release date for this game mode, many players were very excited about this news.

Now, we have more clarification on how things are going. Not so long ago Cyberpunk was delayed and thus the “Online” will be delayed either. But when should we expect it to come out?

In a recent call to the investors, the company mentioned that the game will be released without the multiplayer. Moreover, it will hardly appear in the game in 2021… Most likely, it will be released in 2022. So the players will have to wait for about a year and a half to be able to play the game with their friends.

Such a release schedule may seem strange, but this delay will give developers enough time to collect feedback from the single-player and make adjustments to the “online” mode.  This will also give players time to enjoy the game fully.

In our opinion, such a delay is too big. Players may become tired of waiting for it to be released. But this is how CD Projekt Red decided to act. Maybe we will see big changes in their plans closer to the release.
