Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Series X and PS5 Release is Still Possible
Not so long ago developers pushed back the release date of Cyberpunk 2077. But that’s not because they prepare Xbox Series X and PS5 release. The developers just don’t have enough time for polishing the game. It’s still scheduled to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia only. Piotr Nielubowicz, CD Projekt Red CFO, confirmed this in a recent teleconference call.
But the studio doesn’t say that the game will never be released on next-gen consoles. Adam Kiciński, the CD Projekt Red joint CEO, said that they have only one primary goal now – to launch Cyberpunk in time with a focus on current-generation platforms. But they are still thinking about next-gen consoles and next-gen release is a possible thing. This may happen, but only after the main release.
In our opinion, if players really find the game interesting, the developers will most likely make PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game. Don’t forget about the multiplayer, which will most likely be released somewhere in 2022. By that time, current-generation platforms will become too much outdated.
